Trees down
Down tree on the north side of the lake about 1 mile from the dam. Easy to get around.
Down tree between the concrete ford and the dam has been removed.
Flooding
No overflow at concrete ford or sidewalk.
Some small puddles in usual places on the trail....
Shifting problems
I'd been having random, intermittent rear shifting problems for a couple of weeks and kept making indexing adjustments. Then a couple of days ago, after I loaded the bike on the car rack, I just happened to look under the bottom bracket where the shifting cables go through a guide and noticed the rear shifting cable was frayed in half and the broken...
Got new hitch rack
I had a Swagman XC2 rack ($150 on Amazon) which I used to carry one bike on a 2016 Mazda CX-5. The rack worked great but it looked like an insect attached to the rear of the vehicle and it protruded so far from the rear that I had very little room to walk in front of the vehicle...

Mud areas from flooding have been scrapped. Be careful of a thin layer of slick mud that remains.
