Trail Status
The greenway is in good condition, Some limbs down. They have not been removed after a week, but they have been cut back to the edge of the greenway, which can still be a problem if meeting an approaching bike. The ford is dry today but rain is expected.
The trail is in good condition. It has the same problems with down limbs as on greenway. If riding east on south side of the lake, you will be on the tight inside lane at the hairpin curve. The inside lane has relatively large ridge bumps that can bounce the wheels off the ground so be carful.

The trail is wet so you will get a racing stripe of wet cinders down your back.
Lots of low hanging tree limbs on the trail and they get even lower when wet. Be careful when ducking your head under one, you may come on on the other side and hit another one that was hidden by the first one.
New tires
I've got 300 miles on my Serfas CTR Drifter City tires and they are great. The inverted tread design lets them roll faster and I've had no sliding in turns on the Salem Lake Trail. I used Kenda Slant Six tires for years. I had flats, a ruptured side wall, and they wore out at 1600 miles even with rotating them at 800 miles. The Serfas inverted tread should hold up for a couple of thousand miles.
